 This book is a record and celebration of the current Natural History of Bournemouth and a 15 mile radius around it.

 With chapters on Botany, Mycology, Invertebrates, Ornithology, Zoology and Marine discussing the flora and fauna, comparing historical data with that of today and considering both the urban and natural habitats of many species.

 There are many photographs, mainly taken by members of the Society, together with maps and diagrams. Areas for observing the common and the unusual are also described.
